Assist EFAA in serving participants in an efficient and effective manner. Meet with participants, check participants in for food pantry visits, issue bus tickets, assess furniture needs and provide information on EFAA and community resources. Volunteers 18 years and older will be required to pass a background check.
Patience, organization and ability to give and follow directions are required. Must be able to maintain a calm demeanor and adapt to a busy and sometimes chaotic environment. Ability to navigate web based software is essential. Spanish speaking ability is helpful.
Training requirements for this position include ~3 hours 1:1 training + 6 – 9 hours shadow/reverse shadow training before volunteers can manage an intake shift on their own.
3-5 hours per week for at least six months
