Virtual Volunteerism - Letters of Encouragement

DESCRIPTION:  Register now to send encouragement notes to our partners in the community who are serving vulnerable populations. This includes nonprofits, hospital staff members and the clients that they serve. Sharing messages of gratitude and positivity can go a long way in brightening someone’s day.

EXAMPLE OF WHAT TO WRITE/SEND: Some organizations prefer that these items are mailed and others have provided a website that you can submit virtual letters. If you are sending a note in the mail, feel free to include a handwritten card, picture, or small activities for the clients they serve such as coloring book pages, crossword puzzles, short stories, etc. Instructions are provided in your registration confirmation email.

EXAMPLE OF MESSAGE- GRATITUDE: "Thank you for your service and dedication to keeping our community safe and healthy during this time. We appreciate you and are thinking about you!"

EXAMPLE OF MESSAGE -POSITIVTIY: General well wishes such as  "isolation is really hard, but your community is thinking of you"  and " I am sending you love during this tough time" Feel free to even include examples of things you are doing to get through your own isolation such as breathing exercises, connecting with others on the phone, stretching, taking a walk, gratitude journals, etc
