211 Help Center- Call Back Support Volunteer

Tuesday, February 20th from 3:00pm to Tuesday, July 9th, 2024 5:00pm

About

Mile High United Way's 211 Resource Center is a statewide community resource that connects individuals and families to critical resources including food, shelter, rent payment assistance, housing, childcare, transportation and much more.

This opportunity is offered both virtual and in-person and you can select whatever works best for you! Please email volunteer@unitedwaydenver.org to get more information and get signed up for the training.

*Note that currently in order to volunteer in person, you must have a laptop you can bring with you to our office.

Volunteers for this opportunity will do customer service outbound calls to 211 clients that have previously called in for resources from 211. These callbacks are to learn more about the assistance that the client received from 211 as well as from the resources that we are providing our clients. Volunteer will also do a second ask at the end of the call to see if the client needs additional resources. If client says yes, then they will be transferred to the 211 English/Spanish line for more resources or we will take down their name and number and have a navigator call them back within 24 hours. Volunteers will be provided a script and use a forms survey already created to asks a series of questions regarding the service they received. These outbound calls are to clients that called 211 several weeks prior to this follow-up call. The collection of these surveys and callbacks help to further add to the data collection process that we compile quarterly and yearly to show the statistics behind the 211 Program. The data gathered will help us to continue to share out the benefits of 211 referrals and services on our community.
