The address on the email reminder was not correct. It didn't take me to the elementary school, instead was some processing building a couple blocks away.
We ended up wrapping up the garden work from the first shift since there was still a lot to do there. It definitely looked awesome afterwards though.
I was initially signed up to do the classroom curriculum; however, when I entered the library they were done and I was sent outside. I was not mad just unprepared. Thankfully the school was prepared and had everything that was needed. I was able to connect with some of the Band-It team members I have never met. I also got a slight insight as to where some of my co-workers are from originally and their position within the company. I truly enjoyed myself and appreciative of the vitamin D I received lol.
Garden of the Garden Place Academy should be a vital place for the students, teacher, and parents.
I was tired after working in the garden, but feel great that the garden now can be planted with new seeds.
New flowers that will attract beautiful butterfly and birds. New garden that will provide veggies and fruits.
And hope that the students and the community will smile and feel the joy and love that we all shared.
