Planned Parenthood of Florida (PPFL) is a passionate and tireless advocate for access to reproductive health care, including safe and legal abortion. Many of the patients we serve are among those who have historically faced barriers to quality health care: people of color, people who live in rural, geographically, and linguistically isolated areas, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with low incomes, and those without health insurance. Our 16 health centers, including a virtual health center, deliver high-quality, affordable sexual and reproductive health care, including breast and cervical cancer screenings, contraception including vasectomy care, STI testing and treatment, gender-affirming care, prenatal care, infertility care, sexual dysfunction care, mental health services, abortion care, and more. Our communities are now facing unexpected barriers to accessing health care, such as rising insurance costs and primary care and OBGYN care deserts, highlighting an urgent and growing need for the services we provide. We continue to expand our service offerings to meet our patients when and where they need us most.

PPFL recognizes the critical role of comprehensive sexual education in reducing the rate of unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV. We deliver medically accurate information that empowers people of all ages to make informed decisions and lead healthy lives. To accomplish this, we share accurate information through our various evidence-informed programs. Our innovative health education and teen outreach programs teach young people how to make healthy decisions and train teachers, parents, and caregivers on how to have honest, open discussions with the young people in their lives.

Our vision is to create a world where reproductive rights are basic human rights, where access to health care does not depend upon who you are, where you live, or who you love, and where every person is empowered to choose their own path to a healthy and meaningful life.
