About
Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy (CNPC) is the official philanthropic partner of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, working year‑round to protect, preserve, and enhance this treasured natural resource. CNPC supports critical projects that restore habitats, improve trails, expand environmental education, and strengthen community stewardship across the park’s 48 miles of river and 66 miles of trails. With more than three million visitors each year, the CRNRA faces ongoing pressure on its ecosystems, making CNPC’s work and the support of volunteers essential.
Volunteerism is at the heart of CNPC’s impact. Community and corporate volunteers help remove invasive plants, restore trails, clean up riverbanks, and support events that fuel conservation efforts. Their service expands CNPC’s capacity, accelerates restoration projects, and ensures the park remains healthy, accessible, and resilient for generations to come. Through hands‑on work and community engagement, volunteers play a vital role in protecting the Chattahoochee River and strengthening the connection between people and the park.
