GC Students for Change

GC Students For Change is a student led nonpartisan advocacy organization on campus that gives students the opportunity to make change in their community through getting connected with local government officials and community partner, volunteering for local community projects, and attending community/city meetings. Our goal is to assess the needs of the community of Milledgeville and find ways to alleviate those needs while fostering leadership, collaboration, and volunteerism in our members. We are currently working with the Brighthouse (rape-crises center), Cafe Central (Soup kitchen), Central State Local Redevelopment Authority, and working on bringing a Domestic Violence Shelter to Milledgeville.
