The 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance is an Greene Lamp Community Action agency program funded by AmeriCorp seniors. The program mission is to increase volunteerism in four Eastern North Carolina counties (Pitt, Beaufort, Lenoir, and Greene). By increasing volunteerism and holding different projects the program will be remembering and honoring the fallen first responders and employees that lost their lives due to the 9/11 attacks.
