CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties

About

CASA, Court-Appointed Special Advocates, is a volunteer-based, nonprofit organization that trains and supervises community members to represent the best interests of children who have experienced physical, sexual, or emotional abuse and neglect that are currently in the judicial system.

A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a trained volunteer who represents the best interests of child victims of physical, sexual, or emotional abuse and neglect that are currently in the judicial system. CASA Volunteers are supervised by CASA team members and work alongside the child's legal and professional team. They ensure that the child's physical, mental, educational and emotional needs are being met, and advocate for the child in court, all the while supporting them in their journey to find a safe and permanent home. In Adams and Broomfield Counties alone, there are over 1,100 children that need a loving and caring CASA.
