Day of Caring 2019

Colorado Horse Rescue (CHR) boasts a 50 acre ranch, housing 60 horses that are being rehabilitated to be placed in loving homes. A volunteer experience at CHR begins with an hour tour to give volunteers a view into our operations and share with participants the importance of our mission. Service projects range from painting, building or repairing fencing, constructing obstacles for our equine obstacle course, care of equine tack, grooming equipment, and blankets, or doing routine property maintenance like mowing, weeding, and tree trimming, or any other facility related projects. We conclude by taking a group picture with a horse and share the photo on social media. Due to hosting corporate volunteer groups weekly throughout the summer, we will not know the exact projects needing your support until the week you are scheduled to arrive. As far as parking and entry, there is a driveway next to our entrance sign off 65th St., and volunteers will head down our driveway and pass by a house on the right. Our main office is the building that follows. Inside the office is where we will meet. There is an open parking lot visible near the office.
