Bridging the Gap Career Week

The purpose of the “Interview Prep” workshop is to help to prepare young people for successful interviewing – from arriving on time, to a good first impression, to eye contact and a can-do attitude. We want this workshop to help young people identify themselves with their strengths. Interview prep will cover the “soft skills” of the interview process: when to arrive for an interview, what to wear, how to talk about their strengths/weaknesses/areas of improvement, how to answer difficult questions, and how to connect their own experiences with the questions being asked. The Successful Interviewing presenter will need to create a presentation covering the topics above. Supporting documents will be provided to assist. Following this workshop, the young people will put what they've learned to practice with Mock Interviews. Feel free to bring a friend or colleague for additional support!
