National Virtual Volunteer Week with Mile High United Way

Wild Plum Center has been in operation for over 55 years. All of our families are below federal poverty lines and all of our services are offered at no cost to them. We provide students with comprehensive education, play therapy, 2/3 of their nutritional needs each day they are in school and more. We strive to provide equity through education and are committed to “Nourishing Minds. GROWING FUTURES.”

These birdhouses are then sold at our signature “Birds and Blooms” event, a spring festival that is a celebration of collaboration in our community. We sell birdhouses, hanging baskets and items donated from local businesses and volunteers in a silent auction to raise money for Wild Plum Center Programs.

You can purchase and paint your own birdhouse or build one from scratch. We recommend using paint that can weather the storms, but you’re welcome to use what you already have on hand. Just please note whether or not the paint is suitable for the outdoors so we market your work accordingly. If you choose to purchase a birdhouse, Amazon and Michael’s both have great selections.
