Shift NameECONOMIC JUSTICE: HOW THE INCOME GAP DISPROPORTIONATELY HINDERS WOMEN AND BIPOC COMMUNITIES
Description

Income inequality isn't new - it's been growing in our country for decades, disproportionately impacting women and people of color. Like so many other inequities present in our society, the pandemic only served to worsen the pay gap. When paired with the insidious nature of systemic racism, financial outcomes have been significantly worse for Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) community members and women during the pandemic, but it's important to acknowledge that the playing field was never fair to begin with.

Join us as we seek to better understand the history of wealth inequality in our country, what is being done to rectify the disparities, and how we can be part of bridging these economic gaps.
