Shift NameHOUSING ACCESS: REDLINING AND HOUSING DISCRIMINATION IN DENVER/COLORADO
Shift Organizer
Julia Palencia
Description
Redlining was the federal government's deliberate, discriminatory practice of denying home loans to residents in neighborhoods that predominately housed immigrants or populations of color. Though redlining may seem like a thing of the past, it's an issue that still occurs today. Even in communities where it's no longer common practice, the impact of its existence are still easily felt and seen.

Join us as we learn about the history of redlining in Denver and how each of us can work toward eliminating the continued effects of housing discrimination
