| Description | Market Assistant: Our market area is where participants shop for their groceries. Volunteers in this area will manage the market (produce, dairy, meat, etc.), offer nutrition tips and monitor poundage. This position helps participants’ select food items and shares personal recommendations, nutrition tips, safe food handling, and recipes. Great for volunteers who want to interact with participants.
Warehouse Assistant: Our warehouse area is where food and other items are processed from donation deliveries. Volunteers help inspect, clean, sort and box donation items. This area requires attention to detail. It is a low-impact/physical area, though it does require standing for the shift.
