2025 Day of Caring with Mile High United Way

Project: 

Donation Center: Help us process in-kind donations, particularly clothing items, sorting them by type and size, conducting a quality check, and placing goods onto hangers so they're ready to be stocked into our Resource Center Empowerment Resource Center 

Store: Keep our shopping area well-stocked and organized so families have a dignified space to find the items they need to support their families. Volunteers may also assist at the check-out stations to bag up items for families to take home - all of which are distributed free of charge!

Impact:  Make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families in our community by joining A Precious Child as a volunteer! Join us in our Donation Center and Empowerment Resource Center Store, where you'll play a crucial role in preparing essentials like clothing and hygiene products for distribution to children and caregivers.

Requirements:  All volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes to participate in service activities.

Volunteers must also register directly with A Precious Child prior to their shift.  Please complete the steps below when completing your registration here.  

Volunteer Event at A Precious Child

Date & Time: Friday, September 19th from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Location: 7051 W 118th Ave, Broomfield, CO 80020

Parking & Arrival: Free parking is available in our lot and along W 118th Ave. Please enter through Unit 6, our Volunteer Center, to check-in for your shift.

Attire: All volunteers are required to wear closed-toed shoes. We also recommend dressing for the weather, as our warehouse temperature can vary as garages doors may be open.

Registration Instructions:

1.    Visit your online Volunteer Event: United Way Day of Caring (9:00AM-12:00PM) on Sep 19th

2.    Sign In if you’ve volunteered with us before

OR

Create Account if you’re a new volunteer at A Precious Child

Your join code is: MHUW-CARING

3.    Once you have created your account or logged in, you will be re-directed to your groups volunteer event; click the red “Sign Up” button to register.

If the site doesn’t redirect you just click the hyperlink in step-one to get to your team’s specific volunteer shift.

4.    Review our Volunteer Authorization, Waiver, and Release Form and accept that you understand.

5.    Congrats – your registration is complete!
