2025 Day of Caring with Mile High United Way

Project:  We are an early childhood center with 4 locations around Longmont. Each location has its own playground that will need maintenance, such as pea gravel shoveled, sand boxes filled, umbrellas put together, etc. We also have some classrooms that need furniture bolted to the cement walls. We also have an RV that has been turned into a mobile classroom that will need some cleaning done internally and externally.

Impact:  We are the primary Head Start and Early Head Start Program in Longmont, CO. Our families all qualify for free services through income levels and other qualifying factors. The children and families we serve are receiving quality care through our Home-based and Center/Classroom-Based programs that they otherwise would not have access to. Early Childhood Education is a milestone that can set these children up for success, while also working with their families to become more self-sufficient. The quality of our teaching is enhanced by the quality of our buildings and classrooms.

Requirements:  Dress for outdoor work that you don't mind getting a little messy in!  Bring gloves if you have some.

Parking:  We will meet at 82 21st Ave, Longmont CO to start to discuss the jobs, and spread out to our 4 locations from there. All addresses will be provided! There is free parking at all locations.
