Volunteer Coach at the January 2026 Fix-It Clinic

As an Electronics & Miscellaneous Repair Coach, you’ll use your troubleshooting skills to bring all kinds of items back to life — from small household appliances (fans, lamps, blenders) to handheld devices (soldering work, battery replacements, cracked screens) to the occasional oddball repair like a child’s toy, stool, or even a vintage typewriter!

What you’ll do:

• Before the clinic opens to the public: Work with other volunteers to repair items dropped off by community members who can’t attend in person.

• During the public clinic: Coach attendees one-on-one, helping them learn how to troubleshoot and repair their own items.

We’ll provide:

• A list of registered items in advance so you’ll know what to expect.

• Common repair tools and equipment (you’re welcome to bring your own, too).

• A light lunch before the clinic opens to the public.

Your expertise helps keep valuable items out of the landfill and empowers others to learn repair skills. Thank you for lending your time and talent to Fix-It Austin!
