2026 Day of Caring

Project: A Precious Child provides disadvantaged and displaced children with “Cradle to Career“ support to break the cycle of poverty by reducing socioeconomic inequalities and connecting them with needed resources, services, opportunities, and educational support. As volunteers, we'll be helping provide essential goods to families in need. Duties & Responsibilities: Donation Center: Help us process in-kind donations, particularly clothing items, sorting them by type and size, conducting a quality check, and placing goods onto hangers so they're ready to be stocked into our Resource Center Empowerment Resource Center Store: Keep our shopping area well-stocked and organized so families have a dignified space to find the items they need to support their families. Volunteers may also assist at the check-out stations to bag up items for families to take home - all of which are distributed free of charge!

Requirements & Qualifications: Must wear close-toed shoes for every shift Have a friendly and welcoming demeanor to clients, volunteers, donors, and staff Respect and maintain the confidentiality of A Precious Child clients, volunteers, partners, and donors Attire: For safety, please wear closed-toed shoes since this position operates in a warehouse facility. And, since our Donation Center has large, open garage doors for donation drop-offs please dress appropriately for the outside weather since the warehouse can get hot or cold!
