Majority of shifts will require being on your feet outside. Please prepare for walking and standing outside for long periods of time by dressing in layers and wearing comfortable shoes. Hats, sunscreen, sunglasses, and gloves are also recommended.
Children- This is a family friendly event. Children 17 and younger are welcome to volunteer at this event with an adult. If you are planning to volunteer with children, you will be able to add them to your registration and do not need to create a separate registration for them. Everyone 18 and older should register separately.

If you are completing hours that need to documented, you must contact our staff at volunteer@unitedwaydenver.org prior to registering to confirm the compatibility of this event with your needs and to make arrangements for the documentation.

| Description | STAFF ONLY
Volunteers will help prepare for the Mile High United Way Turkey Trot by loading race materials, supplies and equipment into U-Hauls and vans for transport to the race site. This may include moving and loading signage, tables, tents, boxes, event supplies and other Turkey Trot materials.
Volunteers will meet in the volunteer center at Mile High United Way. This shift will be from 2:00pm- 4:30pm on Tuesday, November 24th.
*Please NO children under 15
*Disclaimer: This is a physically active volunteer shift that will include lifting, carrying and moving event materials. Volunteers should wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and be able to lift and carry heavier items.
