Description

On Friday, April 21, Mile High United Way is recognizing both National Volunteer Week and Earth Day with simultaneous volunteer projects that will be hosted by nonprofit partner organizations at multiple locations.  Be a part of this day of impact by registering for one of the many projects!

Description:  WeeCycle receives about 700 pounds of donated baby clothes each week. Volunteers help sort baby clothes by size and create baby clothing bags for our nonprofit partners.  Families that utilize the case management and other services by our partners can make requests for clothing bags for their babies and toddlers.  These uniquely made clothing bags provide 30 needed items of clothes (tops, bottoms, pajamas, socks, underwear) and save families money while providing weather appropriate clothing that fits their baby.  WeeCycle keeps thousands of pounds of clothes out of the landfill and serves thousands of children with clothing!

Requirements:  We request that participants sign a liability waiver and dress in layers as our warehouses are not heated/air conditioned.  Please wear closed toed shoes and comfortable clothes.  Knowledge of baby items not needed- just a desire to help children have access to clothing.
