I appreciate the opportunity each year to be able to meet awesome Colorado families and individuals, learn from their life journey, and guide them through the services that can help give them the hand up they need. The consolidation of essential services from state agencies in one place makes this one of Denver's most impactful events for persons experiencing homelessness, allowing progress in hours that would otherwise take months and miles of travel. Homeless Connect is so impactful! My guests received services and assistance that would have taken months to accomplish had it not been under one roof. Today is an important reminder that we all must meet people where they are at. The progress for my guests today provided hope, encouragement, and a pathway to potentially improve their situation. I am very proud to have had the opportunity to meet these awesome Denver citizens and to have extended a smile and a hand. Well organized, upbeat vibe, inspiring volunteer peers.
