I had the opportunity to volunteer backstage at NYFW for designer Lela Rose. It was a fun experience. I worked backstage getting models ready, setting up and breaking down.
I helped set up and create the stage set for the annual UT senior fashion show.
I got to lead a group of students and learned a lot about being a leader.
The event was successful. I wish there was more involved as far as actually giving back, like maybe opening up donations to non ULN students.
Worked with Delta Lambda Phi's annual toy drive. I helped record their performance, helped pick up toys, collected monetary donations, helped set up backstage, and communicated between stage lighting and backstage.
I volunteered backtage, helped set up the stage, and also managed check-in for volunteers + backstage crew. Finally, I also helped breakdown the event.
