Sydney Treat

I joined Tejas Garden Stars' volunteer day in the Hummingbird Sanctuary at the Zilker Botanical Garden, where we helped bring the garden back to life by removing any dead branches / weeds and give the garden so much needed watering. More than anything, this event was a great way to meet people and socialize, all the while getting your hands dirty! I remember telling a fellow volunteer, "this feels good for the soul."

Great experience at Waking Giants! Worked with and learned from an intelligent and diverse group of people in an inclusive and motivating space every Monday and Wednesday from roughly 9.30 to 2.30 PM gathering data, packing "toolkits", and more!

At Austin Pets Alive, I completed many different jobs -- laundry, bowl washing, dog walking, and dog feeding.
