I helped out with Forgotten Friends Mixed Breed Rescue's pet adoption that they have every other Saturday at PetSmart. I've been helping out this organization since I found out about it my freshman year. This is my favorite volunteer activity because I love getting to have hands on experience with the dogs, I enjoy helping people find the right dog for them, and I love the coordinator, Deborah, she cares so much for these dogs and really has compassion for what she does.

I have volunteered here multiple times because I love interacting with the dogs and the coordinators are very friendly. I usually invite a friend to go with me but this time I went alone.
I helped out with Mixed Breed Rescue. I love helping out with this organization. This is my second time being involved with this Dog Adoption. I love being able to actually interact with the animals. It was raining that day so we moved the adoption inside. I loved every minute of being there. The only complaint would be how bad my allergies were that day and being around the dogs didn't help much, but it was wroth it.
Deborah is the main leader for this organization. The email she uses is mbr_stuff@yahoo.com
It was a very fun experience. Me and a few other ULN members helped out with the giant holiday card when people came and signed it. It was just very cold!!!
In our small mentor group we made candy cane grams for the custodians in both jester towers. After making all of them we then delivered them. It was nice, I liked knowing that this small act of kindness would make their day.
It was great, my plans were to walk the dogs, but I did not have the experience needed to do so. Instead I helped out with laundry. I put stuff to dry and folded blankets and towels. All though it wasn't necessarily the funnest thing to do I did enjoy helping out because I knew my impact would affect the animals in some way or another
