Hours reflect my collaboration with Aggie Academy and event planning
Throughout the semester I have worked closely with Aggie Academy to create service initiatives to enrich the lives of young academic scholars. Since September, I have met with the school principal to communicate ideas and timeframes for HA events. I also worked alongside the HAs when planning poster presentations and how to properly engage 3rd-5th grade students. On November 8th, the HA community had an Aggie Career fair to showcase different majors to the students and what career paths are available in specific fields.
I created innovations, established relationships with local nonprofits, developed baby shower games, and performed research on the importance of community baby shower support amongst parents expereinceing finincial hardships.
Hours refelect my service for the Honors Welcome Week
Over the summer, I planned and collaborated with other HA Co-Leads and the Director of Student Relations to create the Freshmen welcome week. I collaborated and held meetings with 7 nonprofits to get first year students involved in volunteer oppurtunities in Greensboro through the annual Honors Day of Service. As the community service committee chair, I hosted meetings over the summer to plan events for orientation with my HA committee team.
