    USNDA at NC A&T

On December 3rd, I had the privilege of volunteering at Brown Recreational Center for the "Out of the Garden Project" produce giveaway. At the beginning of the service, our team worked together to sort meat, bread, baked goods, and produce. Once the items were organized, we were assigned specific roles. My task was to deliver the bagged meat directly to the cars of individuals who had signed up to receive food.
Over the course of the day, we were able to serve more than 80 families. After the giveaway concluded, we assisted with cleanup, and any remaining food was distributed among the organization’s volunteers. This experience was incredibly rewarding, as it allowed me to contribute meaningfully to the local community and witness the positive impact of collective effort.

    Greensboro Urban Ministry

On November 17th, I volunteered with Urban Ministry, where I assisted in packaging meals into to-go trays and plates. I served fried fish, macaroni, coleslaw, bread, and potato salad to the residents living in the shelter. Following that, I distributed to-go trays to homeless individuals who came by. After the meal service, I contributed to cleaning up and resetting the tables for future use.

Little Heroes Day at Gate City Charter Academy

On November 15th, I participated in Little Heroes Day at Gate City Charter Academy, where I engaged with fourth graders in a fun and educational activity called Medical Emergency Freeze Dance. The game involved playing music for the kids to dance to, and when the music stopped, I presented a medical emergency scenario. The students then had to freeze and demonstrate how they would respond to the situation.

At the beginning of the service, our team worked together to sort meat, bread, baked goods, and produce. Once the items were organized, we were assigned specific roles. My task was to deliver boxes of fresh produce directly to the cars of individuals who had signed up to receive food. Over the course of the day, we were able to serve more than 150 families. After the giveaway concluded, we assisted with cleanup, and any remaining food was distributed among the organization’s volunteers. Girl Scout Lock In

On November 9th, I participated in the Girl Scouts Lock-In, where we engaged in a variety of fun and educational activities. We began with arts and crafts, using stencils and marshmallows (representing teeth) to create replicas of the inside of the mouth. Afterward, we enjoyed a friendly game of dodgeball with the girls, followed by a pizza and chips snack break. Later, we guided the girls in creating DIY affirmation coffee mugs and making their own milkshakes. To end the evening, the girls relaxed by watching the movie Inside Out while we prepared popcorn for them to enjoy.
