I enjoyed being of assistance to my peers and the Breast Cancer Survivor guests. I am happy that I left educated and was able to help foster a warm, educational, and inviting environment for everyone.
I thoroughly enjoyed assisting my peers and the community receive education and insight on pregnancy resources and being a part of someone's village.
I enjoyed volunteering with SHAC at Second Harvest, we packaged food that would feed 100+ families in the Triad area.
I enjoyed getting active with the kids and encouraging them to run and be healthy!
NAPS hosted the Loc Up Lock-In Event on September 25, 2023. As a panelist, I answered panel discussion questions regarding all things about locs. I was able to educate students and other members of NAPS on how to healthily maintain their hair, and share information on how to start their loc journey. As someone who is passionate about beauty and holistic health, I really enjoyed being able to educate fellow Aggies. Self-care is important because when you look good you feel good.
As college students, when the semester starts to pick up we can unintentionally start to neglect our needs. I had a good time educating and I would do this again!
Today I spent time packing food boxes up for the Greensboro and surrounding community. My peers and I sorted non-perishable items and taped boxes up to prepare for distribution. It was a good time serving the community and socializing with fellow Aggies. I look forward to coming to the Second Harvest Food Bank Again.
My friend Briana Kelly and I orchestrated an event to collect personal hygiene products, self care items, and clothing to donate to the Salvation Army in hopes of relieving stressors some women may face.
