Helping the kids give back to the community was a truly rewarding experience. Watching them actively participate in something so simple yet meaningful, like handing out snacks and affirmations, showed them how powerful small acts of kindness can be. It was a reminder that even the smallest gesture can brighten someone’s day and make a big impact. This experience helped them understand the importance of service and how giving back can truly make a difference in the community.
Assisting at Timberland High School Band Camp has been a rewarding experience, providing me with the opportunity to expand my outreach in developing musicians and introducing dancers to a more technical aspect of their craft. Although it was a new atmosphere for me, I truly enjoyed my time there. It allowed me to connect with students outside of my typical high school band community, offering new perspectives and challenges. This experience not only enhanced my own skills as a mentor and leader but also broadened my understanding of different band dynamics, making it a valuable addition to my professional Mentor growth.
Assisting band camp was a very pleasant and fulfilling experience. I began each day by leading morning workouts and later assisted with sectionals in the afternoons, focusing on the tubas and sousaphones. Occasionally, I also helped the flag girls. Spending time with the students and using some of my college experience to guide and support them was incredibly rewarding. It was an honor to give back to my community and play a role in helping them prepare for their upcoming season. Watching their growth and development throughout the camp was inspiring, and I’m glad I was able to witness and see all their accomplishments in the season.
Working at the band clinic was a truly rewarding experience. It was great to connect with the students and assist them in developing their musicality skills. Seeing their progress and enthusiasm throughout the clinic was inspiring, as I know these skills will be valuable to them during their band camp and the upcoming season. I enjoyed being able to support their growth and contribute to their success as young musicians. This experience reminded me of the importance of mentorship and how impactful it can be in shaping someone’s journey.
I Enjoyed working in the food pantry with the other volunteers. Penny was extremely sweet with showing me around. I also appreciated the people who came through and showed just as much of love back
I donated 10 items! Thanks for the opportunity to give to kids for Christmas!
