I had a great time volunteering. Even though there was a large group there were still moments that I got to help with like taping the boxes, making the boxes, and even making thank you cards for the Co-Ops.

I loved working with the volunteers for this week. They were very kind and allowed for a great day of volunteering. Today we boxed 110 mobile pantry boxes and 30 GNAP boxes. It was great trying taping an labeling the GNAP boxes this time. Also getting to throw away the trash was a cool behind the sevens experience.

I had a great time packing frozen boxes this week. Along with our frozen boxes we were able to package a full pallet of sausages into new individual bags for smaller families . We also got sort fall homegoods that will go out to Urban Recipes’ Co-Op families at the end of the summer.

I had a great time volunteering at Junior Achievement. This time I got to work in Cox Enterprise and so a few of my tasks were different from last time but not any less fun. I loved the kids I got to work with especially after we got to know each other. While the language barrier did make it a little hard to communicate at times, it also led to some enjoyable moments.

I loved packing the dry boxes this week. Coming back and being seen as a regular was amazing. This organization is one that I hope to continue to volunteer at for a long time coming like some of the other volunteers I have gotten to know over the past 3 weeks.

The experience was amazing. In total we made 140 boxes, bagged bagels and helped with co-op families piles. Because this is my second time visiting I also got to help make boxes.

I had a great time working with the different groups of people at Urban Recipe. Being able to impact over 150 families brought me so much joy. Packing the boxes for families with the mobile pantry was fun, and seeing other Spelman Alum still volunteering with this organization brought me so much joy.

Planting the trees was an amazing experience. Even though my group had to take out 2 of our planted trees we still had a good time. The other volunteers are staff working for trees for Atlanta were so kind and helpful when planting. I will definitely be going back for another planting day.
