Fabric to Future: re:loom Service Project

During my experience with sustainability initiatives for the re:loom service project, I cut/removed the seams from old/donated t-shirts, cut the shirts into tiny strips, and rolled the strips into balls for the organizers to use to weave into different bags, keychains, coasters, yoga bands, and other fashions. This was done to basically show us that even old things still have value and can be reused. We did this to preserve the sanctity of the earth and our environment because the shirts we cut could potentially be thrown in landfills and cause things such as water pollution, greenhouse gas production, air pollution, to further accumulate, destroying the earth in the process. Overall, this was an amazing experience and I'm so happy that I took the time to give back. I'm also so grateful to the GSU Sustainability Initiatives team for having me!
