I learned that sometimes it is better to look at things from a different angle to see the bigger picture for a better outcome. What I took from this session is that a strong leader is honest, supports the team, is focused, and is committed to what they do.
I learned that crossing over is a swap of genetic material between homologous chromosomes early in meiosis, increasing genetic variation in the resulting gametes. What I took from this session is that just as crossing over shuffles genetic information to create diverse gametes, active studying involves rearranging and connecting information in unique ways to foster deeper learning and retention.
From the virtual career and internship fair, I learned about the diverse job opportunities available in Information Technology and cybersecurity across various industries. This experience emphasized the importance of networking and staying informed about industry trends, which encouraged me to seek more internships and connections within my field proactively.
From this session, I learned that it is important to manage, and safely handle my security properly because it is crucial for protecting data and systems against threats. What I took from this session is that effective strategies and maintaining a project with necessary equipment can land a successful delivery.
I learned that it is important to stay true to myself and what I value the most in the world. What I took from this event is that I have to truly know who I am as a person and define myself so that people can understand the kind of person I am going to be around them.
I learned how to manage and lead a group for a systems analysis course. What I took from this session is to build more connections, and that learning is an opportunity to build my mindset proactively.
I learned how to create different charts using apps associated and downloaded from google docs then produced on a different website once an account is activated to the app. What I took from this session is that learning new things everyday can really benefit someone who already thinks they have mastered that specific topic that you and them are presenting.
I learned useful ways and apps used by PGCC that are great for completing different progress reports. The best times to not schedule an appointment with an advisor would be at the very start of the semester, around withdrawal deadlines for courses, and at the very end of the semester. What I took from this session is that there are things that can really have an impact because of a withdrawal of a course or courses. One could be my timing, withdrawing a course might not be a good look on my transcript depending on my growth of the course, and it may also impact my financial status.
I took notes, did some reading on my courses, and engaged with my peers. I learned that time management, organization, and continuous practice helps out in the long run to minimize stress.
