I enjoyed attending the Positive Psychology meeting! Professor Castellanos was very helpful in answering some tough questions that most of us had towards the end of the presentation. In this event, I was able to learn that positive psychology basically focuses on the good things in life, no matter how hard life can get. There is always something good happening around us or something that we can look forward to, to make the burden of life a little easier to deal with.

I enjoyed attending the Internship Application Process event hosted by Dyone Payne. She was a super fun and interactive host that gave us valuable information about the do's and don'ts when we apply for internships. I got to learn the correct format for my resume, how to research for internships within my interests, and the IDEA framework!
I enjoyed this mini session that was full of useful information in accepting and managing our emotional well-being. I appreciated that Ms. Yetty was a fun and very knowledgeable on the topic of mental health and general well-being.
I enjoyed attending the Irish Heritage Celebration. I got to learn that bagpipes are an ancient instrument that fills with air through a one way-valve, but it can't get out. This means that you can't control the dynamics of the bagpipe which was interesting. I enjoyed the many songs that were performed and it was fun to learn a little bit about the Irish culture!
This was my first time attending an SGA Town Hall. I enjoyed the detailed amount of information we were given by the speakers. I particularly enjoyed the Q&A at the end since it addressed questions that probably most of the students wanted clarification about like financial aid. I am excited to learn more about CAB, and maybe become a part of it to be more engaged in participating and creating activities for students.
I enjoyed attending W.O.W Workshop: Remote Rockstar! This was a helpful meeting in which we got to learn skills that can help us remote students to succeed in our courses. We were suggested resources such as OneNote, Goodnotes, and Notion for studying, note-taking, and staying organized with our courses! I also enjoyed the tips when it comes to setting boundaries with friends, social media, and how to better our time management.
I enjoyed this meeting a lot. I felt identified with the speaker because just like me, she lost a beloved woman in her life, her mother. I lost my cousin so it was comforting to bond over that. I enjoyed her singing (lovely voice by the way) and I also enjoyed the safe space she created for everyone in the meeting!!
The Show Me The Money Workshop was very helpful for those of us who are considering transferring. We got to learn about grants, scholarships and loans and the difference between each one. I enjoyed having Mr. Elio Cruz as a guest since I am comfortable with him because he is my SSP coordinator!
The mixer retreat was a great way to introduce the new members of W.O.W to the sisterhood that is so present in W.O.W. I enjoyed meeting all the coordinators and getting to know who they were and what role they play in W.O.W. I felt welcomed and encouraged to move forward with my semester knowing that I had a sisterhood to rely on!
This meeting was a good opportunity to be updated on the requirements that are to be met while on academic recovery. I enjoyed that we were able to join breakout rooms and get to meet some of the advisors from W.O.W.
