Today, I volunteered at the Danville middle school and shadowed the guidance counselors, which gave me a clearer understanding of their daily responsibilities. I observed a peer mediation session, where I saw how counselors help students navigate conflict and communicate respectfully. I am very thankful for this experience and I look forward to volunteering at the school again.

I volunteered at Carver High School during another football event. My role this time involved helping with stadium security, working at the front entrance to ensure the safety of all attendees.

I volunteered in the emergency department over the summer for 4 weeks and will continue to do so. My task is to help check in patients, make sure wheelchairs are available, show patients to their doctors and make sure there are warm blankets available to the patients.
