My experience at the Spring Volunteer Fair was incredible. The students were very engaged and it appeared that their best intentions were in mind. I filled up the list for folks interested in volunteering with Boulder Food Rescue. I am so excited to get them trained and get them participating as public servants! I too was impacted in a way that warmed my heart. Being there to recruit was my main focus but seeing all the students that actually cared enough to stop at each organization's table to learn what our services in tales, gave me hope in humanity than expected. I saw that we are not all individualistic types and are not so self indulged that we are not able to look past our own personal lives and see that there are people out there that could use a dose of compassion. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of the event and I am looking forward to the next invite!
