Lots…and I mean LOTS of yams. But definitely had fun sorting them and meeting people there.

I really enjoyed meeting other students and helping them navigate their pantry needs. This is a great way to provide students with support in receiving food and personal items whenever they need it.

Working with the Beast Philanthropy was an amazing opportunity to help provide our Pitt county community with the food their family needs. While loading cars, trucks, and SUV’s, it felt amazing watching the smiling faces of families and seeing them leave happily knowing they have a community providing them with food and care. Will definitely attend another drive soon.

Love A Sea Turtle (L.A.S.T) was a wonderful organization that cared about the volunteers and community. Reflecting on my personal experience, I was able to help weed and garden in the community garden and conversed about the message Dr. King delivered and applied it to our participation in unity and environmental sustainability. I will be returning to the garden for future projects, as it has improved me as a person and the community.
