This was a very immersive volunteer session at Oglethorpe University. We guided high school students to different checkpoints across the campus so they can learn more about college and what post secondary education is like. I really enjoyed the event and being able to travel out to help those in my community.

Impacts
Today's event was very informative on the overall concern with breast cancer. Especially since it's a common cancer in the United States. The event was decorated in cute shades of pink and we volunteered for a bit making little support bags before having an information session on how to detect breast cancer alongside food and spinach dip (which was very good). I honestly enjoyed the event and would love to come to more cultural inclusion events!
It was very enjoyable and fun to work with other people alongside this project. They were very helpful and I got to build my teamwork skills through building a drawer for veterans. It was a nice gift to make in honor of 9/11 and those who passed away during the tragedy. The only feedback I could give is providing more materials for the amount of people that showed up (scissors, flat head screwdrivers, hammers, etc.).
It was my first volunteering event, and it introduced me to how fun it can be while helping people help. It was very simple event where I got to meet all different types of people who are all here for the same purpose: To help out men of Atlanta who may suffer from addiction, homelessness, financial insecurity, etc. I personally wouldn't give any feedback because it was very well organized, except for providing more materials such as band aids so we wouldn't run out as early.
