Courageous Conversations: Race, Equity, and Motherhood

Thursday, September 10th, 2020 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm (MT)

About

Loving and caring for a child is a universal thing. As a nurturer – be it mother, teacher, caretaker, babysitter, or otherwise – the desire is to protect and guide children as they navigate this world. The weight on our shoulders is the same – to help kids become empathetic future citizens of the world. Now, more than ever, this feels fraught with complexities as we try to handle this task with honesty and tremendous care.

Join us for a conversation – as mothers, as caretakers, as nurturers – to explore what bonds us together and how we can be better for our kids – whether they’re our own or not.

We are excited to welcome these amazing community leaders and super moms to share their experiences and insights about what the conversations about race and equity sound like in their homes and how we can all have better conversations with the children in our lives.

Our Speakers:

Moderator: Benny Samuels, Vice President of Programs, Rose Community Foundation
Dr. Rosemarie Allen, President & CEO, Institute for Racial Equity & Excellence
Chelsea Carver, Chief Development Officer, Mile High United Way
Simone D. Ross, CEO & Founder, Simone D. Ross, LLC

I was pulled into another meeting and unable to participate. Is there a link to a recording? Thank you.
