About
Hands On Atlanta GSU chapter will host its second annual Hands on Halloween candy drive from October 5th to October 16th. The Hands on Halloween candy drive supports students in low-income communities by providing pre-wrapped and packaged goodie bags during the Halloween season. Last year all proceeds benefited Dunbar Elementary school in their annual Storybook Reading Festival. Students have the opportunity to earn service hours for participating in the drive. Students who donate 50 pieces of pre-wrapped candy can receive 30 minutes of community service hours. Students who contribute over 50 pieces of candy have an opportunity to earn one hour of community service. Students can make multiple donations. Monetary donations may also be accepted to the drive. To schedule a donation drop off or pick up time, please email lsmith250@student.gsu.edu.
