About
The coronavirus pandemic revealed deep-seated inequities in healthcare for communities of color, and amplified social and economic factors that contribute to poor health outcomes. With data supporting that communities of color were more likely to contract and die from the virus, last September a statewide survey also showed that nearly 50% of Black and Latinx Coloradans would not get the COVID-19 vaccine. Similarly, the Kaiser Family Foundation found that a significant percentage of people of color were not confident that the vaccine development and rollout took their needs into account.
Join us for a conversation about the troubling history of healthcare and medical research in communities of color, and what that means for the vaccine roll out in our state.
