About
On most Saturdays from September through May, the Richard Allen Outreach Center (RAOC) Youth Academy with support from Big Bethel AME church offers various educational and enrichment activities to our community children/youth.
We need your help in providing the support, service and resources that the students need to realize their fullest potential. If you have a desire to serve as a one-on-one tutor, group facilitator, computer instructor, math, reading, writing lab facilitator or assistant, or assist with administrative duties, please complete a volunteer application here: tinyurl.com/bknat5wjWe need volunteers who can:
- Make a regular commitment (doesn't need to be every Saturday)
- Interact and get to know the children/youth
- Be one of a few with educational experience that could help put together a program for a particular age group.

Requirement Details
Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
- Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
- Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.
If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
