About
Career Week serves youth in Mile High United Way’s Bridging the Gap program. Bridging the Gap participants have recently emancipated from either the foster care system or juvenile youth corrections; they are the most under-served of Colorado’s youth. Throughout the week, youth will participate in activities to enhance their abilities to both obtain a job and keep one. They will learn interview skills, prepare a resume, learn essential computer skills, and practice their networking skills. Volunteers are invited to share their own experiences with youth and talk through customized career plans.
