About
Make a Difference Day is the second of four large days of service that the Center for Leadership & Civic Engagement offers throughout the year. It is an easy way to volunteer in the community without having to volunteer on your own or navigate finding potential sites on your own. Volunteers will select a service site to volunteer at (some sites are on campus, others require your own transportation or carpooling) and then attend a reflection ceremony and t-shirt distribution on campus after the service projects. All volunteers who attend the service and the reflection will receive a FREE Pirates Give t-shirt at the reflection ceremony!
You should register to attend ONE service site, and the Reflection & Closing.
Transportation to volunteer sites is NOT provided but there are some sites within walking distance or on campus. Be sure to read all of the details before choosing your service "shift" or site. Some sites have specific dress requirements or online volunteer forms that must be completed before you participate. Should you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Alex Dennis, Assistant Director in the Center for Leadership & Civic Engagement - dennisa15@ecu.edu
Masks are required to participate and all current university and community partner COVID-19 guidelines will be followed.
