About

Please join us for the 2021 2-1-1 Emergency Response Training Certification on October 13th from 3:00-5:00pm (5:00-5:30pm will be an optional celebration at Woods Boss to celebrate certification completion - first drink is on us!)

This training will prepare you to be able to answer general incoming calls for the 2-1-1 program.  The goal of this is to ensure during an emergency, if/when our call volume spikes, we can reach out to certified internal and external volunteers to help assist in answering calls when the community needs it most and to ensure that there is not a long wait time during the most vital moments.

This certification is an in-person volunteer opportunity that requires a laptop and headset for all participants.  A virtual option will be available (in-person is preferred). For those who will be joining virtually, a link will be sent out 48 hours prior to the training.   The certification will be valid for 6 months and will need to be renewed in April 2022.  For internal staff members - this is a mandatory training.  All participants will be required to sign a COVID-19 waiver and a confidentiality agreement for our 2-1-1 clients.

For volunteers with questions, please contact Yael Holzman Castellands, yael.holzman@unitedwaydenver.org.
For internal staff members with questions, please contact Kasey Harlos, kasey.harlos@unitedwaydenver.org.
