About

Nicholas House works with housing insecure people. This trip will focus on yard maintenance, deep cleaning the interior, wrapping Christmas gifts, and organizing different spaces

This trip is mostly outdoors with possible indoor components. Please dress appropriately for this kind of work with closed-toed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty.

All attendees at events and gatherings should follow these infection prevention guidelines:

  • Do not come to an event if you are sick or have tested positive for COVID-19.
  • Do not come to an event if you have been advised to quarantine or isolate by a health care provider, a public health official, Student Health Services, or the Emory Contact Tracing Team.
  • If you develop signs and symptoms of illness while at the event, please leave and seek medical assistance as appropriate.
  • Abide by the current mask guidelines.
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water. Use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available. Hand sanitizer and extra face coverings must be made available for attendees at events.

Mask wearing throughout the entire Day of Service is required.

We ask everyone to get tested for free through Emory's asymptomatic testing program. Make your appointment for Thursday 11/11 or Friday 11/12 at the very latest to ensure result delivery by Saturday before the kickoff at 11. This helps keep all participants and the often vulnerable communities with which we work safe.
