Student Mentor

As a mentor you would visit with 1 student from Dobie middle school. The counselors will pair you with a student who they believe is a good match. 

You will apply at Austin Partners in Education and click where it says 'get involved' or 'volunteer', then you will select mentor and type in Dobie Middle School. 

After this process, there will be a mentor training, most likely on campus, with the rest of the people interested in being Mentors. 

After the training, we will all get together with the students and have a 'get to know you' day with everybody else and their mentees. 

Finally, you will meet with your mentee any day of the week you can during their lunch hour (around 11:30-12) and simply have great conversations with them! 

It's super rewarding for you, but most importantly it's super beneficial for the students!
