About

Do you love trails? Would you consider yourself a Trails Advocate? Or maybe you’re new to the outdoors and want to make sure you’re taking proper precautions to engage safely. If any of these sounds like you, the Trails Foundation of Northern Utah invites you to make a pledge to the Trails Alliance.

By taking the pledge, you are standing with us and promising to encourage others to use the trails in a kind, respectful manner. You also promise that you will do your best to set an example of using trail etiquette, courtesy, and respect for fellow trail users. You will help us to enhance the experience of trail users as well as teach responsible trail stewardship whether in Northern Utah or across the U.S.

The mission of the Trails Alliance is to educate, advocate, and raise awareness of proper trail etiquette for all trail users.

We hope to encourage others to use the trails in a kind, respectful manner by promoting trail etiquette, courtesy, and respect for fellow trail users.

We want to enhance the experience of trail users as well as teach responsible trail stewardship. Our focus is on education - not enforcement.

Through trail etiquette awareness and education we hope to minimize on-trail conflicts and maximize everyone’s experience.

We've created an educational guide for you to download under "Documents," at the top of this event, to help you be more prepared to share the trails no matter where you are.

This event is part of Virtual Volunteer Week 2022 hosted by GivePulse Inc. Please remember to register for this event if you are planning to make the pledge to support the Trails Alliance, and provide a reflection after making the pledge or completing an activity (educational or advocacy).
