March in the PRIDE Parade with Mile High United Way!

Sunday, June 26th, 2022 from 9:00am to 2:00pm (MT)
This has ended. If you attended, let the organizer know by recording your Impact!

Description: Join some of your Mile High United Way colleagues on Sunday, June 26 for the Coors Light Denver Pride Parade! The Parade spans 14 blocks of Colfax Avenue from Cheesman Park to Civic Center, where the celebrations continue at day two of Denver PrideFest.
The parade starts promptly at 9:30am but volunteers will be expected to show up beforehand as a group (more details on time and meeting location will be sent out closer to the event).  MHUW staff will march along with other Parade participants from Cheesman Park to the Civic Center (approximately 14 blocks).

Point of Contact: Yael Holzman Castellands,, 202-255-4131

Please arrive at Cheesman Park no later than 9:00am.  We recommend getting here earlier as there will be LOTS of people and it will take some time for you to find us.  The Parade starts at 9:30am sharp – we must all be in formation/in our designated spot in Cheesman Park when the parade starts – as soon as our section begins to walk and leave the park, you will not be able to join in on the parade.
We will be meeting at the south eastern section of the park (East 9th Avenue and N Race Street are the closest cross streets).  We will have a Mile High United Way sign.

We are in the Green section (please find a map attached with the Pride markers of each group).

My cell is 202-255-4131 – please text me if you need help finding our group – I will be there by 8:30am.

A few things to keep in mind:
-All marchers must have wrist bands – I will be distributing these out before we start marching in the parade (again please get to Cheesman early!)
-There is to be no alcohol consumption before or during the parade – please enjoy beverages after in the Pride Fest if you would like!
-No pets are allowed in the march.
-There are to be no skateboards, bikes, roller blades/skates, etc.
-Our community is really showing up which is so incredible so there are going to be LOTS of people.  Please keep this in mind for parking, walking through crowds etc.  We recommend carpooling and or using public transportation, ride app services, etc., as there will be no designated parking.
-We will have signs for folks to carry as well as a banner for those interested.  Please note that we are not allowed to hand items (candy, stickers, etc.) off to parade attendees.
-This will be a long march!  There are over 150 organizations participating (heck yeah!) so please bring water, sunscreen, comfy shoes, and wear comfortable clothing.  We should expect to finishing up by noon.
