About

Please join the Austin Nature Preserve System and Neighbors of Red Bluff Nature Preserve for a day of fun, learning, and restoration! Projects for the day will be to plant native species in a section of the Preserve that had intensive invasive species removals earlier this year. You will learn about the history of the preserve, some of the plans for work that is ongoing, and how this ecosystem fits into the larger Austin Nature Preserve System. Tasks will include planting a wide variety of shade tolerant native species to help boost the biodiversity and resiliency of the preserve, pulling out old trash piles, and possibly removing some additional invasive species.

This event is good for any age and skill level. We just ask that if minors are attending, they also have guardians come as well. Come prepared to get dirty. Close toed shoes and pants are required. If you can bring your own water bottles, we will have jugs of water available onsite. We will also be providing all of the work gloves and tools, so just come prepared to have fun.

As a bonus incentive, Participants will get to work alongside friends and neighbors, get the new IMPD2022 t shirt, and other local business givebacks!
