About
At Walnut Creek Park, recovery from the ice storm continues. Arborists have cut down many more limbs and trunks near the Trails Information Kiosk. Through these activities, we can help city staff at the same time we gather materials for future projects:
- Trim branches from logs that could be used in the landscape.
- Move cut branches to the island in the parking lot, where city staff can more easily reach them with their brush-hauling trucks.
- Roll those usable logs to either a place where they're needed or a place where the city will leave them alone.
Dress for the weather, wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes, and bring plenty of water.

Parking Details
The closest parking will be in the pool parking lot. That's the parking lot on the left side of the park road when you enter from Lamar or on the right side if you enter the park from the north via Old Cedar Lane or Willow Wild.
